Today is Thanksgiving and I have been really thinking about how to have a healthy day. Not just with food but also with the land around me and in my relationships.

I read a little bit online about the native american perspective of Thanksgiving. At least a few views. It made me realize the other part of it. That th epilgrims were in a desperate situation and the natives even after being hurt by settlers had compassion and shared b/c they believe that sharing means abundance in your own life. Hmmmmm… something to ponder in this season and beyond. It is my prayer that we as a nation would feel our roots again. And honor those that made this day even possible. That we would think about the land that yields our food and how we treat it. That we will feel a connection with the Divine, our Creator, with the Earth creation and with eachother!!!
